Monica is a highly experienced professional specializing in the retail sector for over 25 years. As a former retail entrepreneur and an Advisor to retail brands, she has dedicated her career to the industry. Monica has successfully assisted C-suite Executives, of multi-national organizations, in achieving growth targets, transforming functions into value-driven areas, and establishing sound governance practices.

Devoting over a decade to her family-owned retail footwear company in an intensely competitive niche market gave her firsthand insight into the challenges and opportunities within the retail sector. She has leveraged this experience to revolutionize operations, governance, resiliency, customer experience, and go-to-market strategies for global organizations.

Monica is EY’s National Retail Leader. She has been featured on various business news networks, and prominent publications. Monica created and hosted a 5-part Leaders in Retail Series, featuring women leaders from global luxury brands, including Canada Goose, Knix and Lululemon.

Monica holds an MBA, MA and BComm. She lives by the motto of paying it forward; one way she is applying this mantra is by mentoring women in their career journey within retail and providing opportunities for career growth.

Monica lives in Toronto with her husband (who she met in high school, decades ago) and twin daughters.
